Perks Of Being A Wallflower

Whenever I walked into a bookstore I'd always come across one book in particular: The Perks of Being A Wallflower. I never really gave it any thought and would place it back on the shelf. I liked the idea of it but I  wasn't too interested in reading about some 14 year old boy's letters.

If only I KNEW!

If only I knew how wrong I was! Perks is one of the best reads out there. I've heard a lot of talk about how this book had changed/saved lives and a friend and me decided to make a book-list for October and Perks was the first on the list (along with The Great Gatsby, Somewhere I'll Find You, and A Separate Peace) and I couldn't believe how simple the complexity of the idea was. I see how it could change and save lives. Charlie is one of those characters that you wouldn't normally fall in love with but you can't help but do just that. He's a real boy with real problems and real emotions.

And imagine how delighted I was when I found out that they were making it into a movie. The author, Stephen Chbosky, wrote the screen play! And the cast is amazing with Logan Lerman playing Charlie and Emma Watson as Sam. I'm a huge fan of the two actors and I couldn't be more excited!

Now I'm currently reading The Great Gatsby and am loving F. Scott Fitzgerald and his writing.

Back To School

It suck that I had to leave the day before FNO starts! I was so looking forward to it this year since I had to miss last year's. I guess there's always the next one *crosses fingers*
Well I'll be busy this coming week with trying to get my schedule in order and checking out classes. It's never a fun process but you gotta do what you gotta do! I mean I guess I'm that much closer to graduation, happy thoughts.

This past summer was probably one of the best vacations. I had free time to do what I wanted and never had the time to do. I decided I was more than over due with getting healthy and so I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I lost weight and a dress size! I also had time to read, I'm a huge Sarah Dessen fan and I loved her new book What Happen To Goodbye and found a new YA author I love: Susane Colasanti. I'm especially excited that I'm finally going to read The Great Gatsby!

I've heard so many opinions about the book that I decided I'd better make my own.

The Oh-So Dapper Matt Bomer!

I just squealed like a little girl when I found out one of my absolute favorite shows is back! I've been an avid White Collar fan ever since the first season; when my very good friend showed me a picture of him and I drooled, so of course I went online and found out he had a show! I'm absolutely loving the twists in this season! And of course Mauzie is not to be left unappreciated, I swear I'd just love to be in his mind and his friend!

Excuse me I'm off to watch the second episode!

Loving The Look!

I'm totally loving Emma Watson's Marchesa dress she wore at the Movie Awards after party. It's such a cool shade and so fun! And that pixie hair cut is just stunning on her, she could do no wrong!
And of course M-K and Ashley Olsen looking lovely at the CFDA Awards! I honestly sometimes wish I could spend a few nights in their closet and just lose myself...

Definitely my three fashion crushes!

SUMMER

Finally Finals have ended and I can now sit back, relax, and enjoy two and a half months of barely exercising my mind!
I'm more of a winter/ski kind of girl but I'm totally craving a beach retreat! Mmm nothing sounds better than laying under the warm summer sun with a nice cold drink and family! I could just imagine my brothers trying to get me to get me to join them in the water *shudder* I'm happiest on land, thank you very much!

In to the Wild

Okay so I'm not a huge Discovery Channel fan, more partial to watching the History Channel and only when 'Clash of The Gods' is on, but every so often I decide to be a good sister and watch some of my brother's favorite shows with him, mainly 'Man v. Wild'. You could imagine my reaction the first time I saw the show a little over a year ago, it was so fascinating and enthralling and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen!
Imagine being left alone in the wild with nothing but a knife, a bottle of water, and rope!
My brother teases me that the only reason I even bother to watch the show is because I have a crush on the very hansom, very British host-- I'm not denying the crush exists! I mean come on, who would mind sitting for 45 minutes watching this man below fight to survive 42 hours in the wild?

And to think that soon enough he'll be taking Jake Gyllenhaal on a mission with him!
Let us all thank whoever came up with this fabulous idea!

Sigh...

One thing about me it's that I am a HUGE movie freak! I love everything about the movies and my absolute favorite genre is Romance. When you have two actors who are trying to portray the most elusive and powerful of emotions, well to me it's magical, don't you agree?

I've been a fan of both Rachel McAdams (isn't she just gorgeous?) and Channing Tatum (need I say more?) for a long time and when I came across the trailer above I couldn't believe it! Finally the two are making a movie together! And the story is so heartbreakingly beautiful, can't wait for Valentine's Day next year!
